Free health screening for adults held on Sept 1. 2026

The Muslim Community Association of Mohawk Valley (MCAMV/Utica Masjid) was proud to provide free health screenings for community members at Utica City Hall as part of our ongoing commitment to serving the health and well-being of the greater Utica community.

With the support of dedicated healthcare professionals and volunteers, residents were able to receive free basic health assessments, including blood pressure and other preventive health screenings, along with health education and guidance. The program was designed to make essential preventive services accessible to everyone, particularly families and individuals who may face barriers to healthcare.

We were honored to have New York State Senator Joseph Griffo, Utica Mayor Michael P. Galime, and New York State Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon representative attend and support this important community initiative. Their presence demonstrated the value of partnerships between community organizations, healthcare professionals, and local and state leaders.

MCAMV/Utica Masjid is deeply grateful to ICNA Relief, our healthcare professionals, volunteers, community partners, and public officials who helped make the event possible.

Events like this reflect the mission of Utica Masjid: faith expressed through service—bringing people of all backgrounds together, improving access to essential resources, and helping build a healthier, stronger, and more connected Mohawk Valley.

Serving our neighbors. Strengthening our community. Caring for all.
